Mike’s Background as a Los Angeles Sexual Harassment Attorney
Prior to joining Palay Law Firm, Mike worked as an employment litigator for Strauss Law Group, where his father, Tony Strauss, a long-time Los Angeles-area employment lawyer, taught him the ropes. With Strauss Law Group, Mike brought and actually defended many sexual harassment cases. His experience defending employers in sexual harassment cases, in fact, has given him a perspective that many Los Angeles sexual harassment lawyers lack. He knows the defenses in sexual harassment cases, which helps him develop his plan of attack in cases where he represents employees. Now that Mike works for Palay Law Firm, he exclusively represents employees in sexual harassment and sex discrimination cases.
Mike was born and raised in Ventura, California. He grew up in Ventura, attending Ventura High School, then received an undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley. Mike went to law school at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He has been practicing as an attorney in the Los Angeles area ever since.
Mike is an attorney member of the Ventura County Bar Association. He is a past member of the Board of Directors for the Ventura County Bar Association and is set to return to the Board for 2012 and 2013, as the past presidents of that bar association recently asked him to serve again in that capacity. He was president of the Barristers group of the Ventura County Bar Association.
